This ensures the patient remains comfortable during the procedure.
After preparing the treatment area, our team uses surgical instruments such as a scalpel to remove the cyst completely, including its surrounding tissue. This ensures that no part of the cyst is left behind in the skin. Depending on how large or deep the cyst is, stitches might be used after removal to reduce scarring and promote faster healing. Afterward, Drs. Walterhoefer and Flahive will apply a dressing or bandage over the treatment area to protect it until further instructions are given. Most patients with cyst removal can return to their regular schedule with little interruption after surgery.
